Manufacturers with NAICS codes in sectors 31, 32, and 33 currently qualify for SBA 504 fee waivers that other industries do not receive. On a facility purchase around $2M to $4M, that translates to over $135,000 in savings compared to a standard deal. The same fee waiver applies to long-term fixed machinery and equipment with a useful life of at least 10 years. SBA 504 closings take 60 to 90 days. The practical window to start and still capture the savings is narrowing.
